Opened in 2009, Mekhala Learning Centre encourages a culture of learning in the local Prey Veng community. The only educational centre in the province, it provides locals with free access to computers, the internet and a library. It also offers six week English lessons, enhancing employment prospects within the community.

In addition, Mekhala Learning Centre provides the girls at Mekhala House and the local community with a structured program of skills-based workshops and English language short courses. The curriculum is innovative and refreshed frequently to ensure learning remains interesting and relevant.
